Art Quilt all hand sewn on two personally indigo-dyed cotton pillowcases split open and inherited from grandmother, layered with a fusion of African fabric pieces, a vintage Indian Banjara piece added on top of one of the “dresses,” needled cotton batting and African fabric bottom/border. Quilted with various colored quilting and embroidery thread. Embellished with beading on one lady’s neck and African beads on the other. One lady wears Fulani earrings and the other an African head wrap.
